2026 13th Floor

The 13th Floor Denver Colorado: 7.2 out of 10

Summary: 13th floor is a staple in any true Halloween lover and could become yearly tradition, if you just give it a try. It’s not too scary, just the right amount of spooky to make fear something creepy is following you home. We are always greeted by friendly staff and even enjoy ourselves when in line being haunted by monsters while we wait.

Actors: (6 out of 10): Overall the actors did well staying in character and created good jump scares in some places, especially in the Jason Universe and the Cathedral of the Crimson Queen haunted houses. The makeup was terrifying and a couple monsters must be discussed directly. Jason was incredibly eerie and did an insane job creeping around every corner. One of the actors continued to follow us through most of the attraction, which was bone chilling and overwhelming, making us feel like we were in the movie at times. The Crimson Queen was able to lurch out of nowhere and followed us with her eyes until we left the room, making us feel uncomfortable! It did seem like there were a lot less actors than in past years, this may have been due to attending on a Thursday the week before Halloween weekend, but we walked through multiple rooms without seeing any demons or monsters especially in Stitchworks, this made it feel more like a horror museum at times than a haunted house.

Now, we must make time to discuss the Director’s Cut… Wow! To walk into a Cabin nestled off on its own and be met by a PA panicked and overwhelmed. Greeting us with “it is about time… you are late… I should have expected this”. To then be yelled at and be told to watch film of Jason killing a person. Have the same PA rush back in fuss about something as Jason launched in to attack us… The PA then sacrifices herself while shutting us out of the Cabin… What a cool ending to an amazing event!! We also reviewed Jason in Arizona; it was fun to see a different version!! SO creepy, so terrifying!!

Immersion: (5 out of 10): We thought two of the haunted houses were relatively immersive. Jason brought to life a few of his famous kill scenes, though it would have been nice to have more “victims” mixed into the haunted house to help us feel as if we were part of the movie. In the Cathedral of the Crimson Queen, we walked through a dark and dingy Cathedral filled with demons and saddened Nuns, but what took away from the illusion in this haunted house was stepping into a room where a werewolf devoured his victim? Really ruined the ending of this haunted cathedral. We were confused about the theme of Stitchworks so it was difficult to be immersed in that experience at all.

Props/Special Effects: (7 out of 10): The 13th floor had multiple creative, creepy, and terrifying props. All the props they have yearly are large and incredibly well made to be realistic and creepy! Let’s start with the Switchworks haunted house, it started with one of the best spinning tunnels we had seen this season, creating a dizzying effect that kept us disoriented though a large part of the haunted house. We must mention the creepy and crazy zombie room that was totally tilted with zombies in a cage as we navigated our way out! In Jason there were some terrifying props, the one that needs to be mentioned, the roof top decapitation!! Terrifying.

Customer Service: (10 out of 10) Customer service in the 13th floor is always outstanding! When we asked for photographs with characters all staff members were willing, monsters and demonic nuns never left character when we were on the grounds. The manager of the haunted house made time on a busy night to discuss our feedback and was interested in our comments. He also seemed as excited as we were about us purchasing the Jason Animatronic.

Scare Factor: (7 out of 10): We never thought this haunted house was meant to be scary, more of a fun place to come with a few friends to enjoy a spooky night. That being said, Jason was very eerie and creepy and left us wanting to run out. Also, the addon No Name’s Clown Chaos was extremely disorienting and creepy and worth the additional cost! We wanted to mention that this season defiantly has been scarier than previous years both Jason and the Cathedral were much scarier haunted houses than previous.

Entertainment and Value (8 out of 10): When you purchase a ticket at Cosco you get access to the midway that is filled with dead nuns along with the bloody devilish crimson queen herself, and 3 haunted houses (Jason, The Stitchwork’s House of Reanimation, and Cathedral of the Crimson Queen). Purchasing VIP tickets at Cosco will provide two people’s tickets for the low cost of $60.
