2025 Haunted House Reviews

13th Floor 2025… 4 out of 10

Our overall Experience: 13th Floor is always fun, we are normally greeted by friendly staff and even enjoy ourselves when in lines. That being said the prices are high and pictures cost as much as the attractions.

Scare Factor (4): We have never thought this haunted house was meant to be scary, more of a fun place to come with a few friends to laugh to enjoy time together.

Actor/Actor Costume (3): Though their costumes and makeup are always on point, what was difficult to overlook about tonight was actor placement. We could see every monster and actor before we walked around each corner… Even caught them laughing at times, which takes away from the little foreboding that ever happens at 13th floor.

Haunt Layout, do the props work with theme, is theme cohesive (2): Though the overall experience is filled with many props, it felt disjointed and complicated to follow any theme. Often confusing if there was one.

Special Effects and Props (7): The props at 13th Floor are always out of this world, from the crypt below!! Though you might not leave fearing for your life, seeing the museum of props are worth the visits

Entertainment and Value: Waiting in line never feels like a wait because there are so many actors waiting to greet you with something uncomfortable to say. There are also escape rooms, axe throwing, and dervish bar to keep you entertained while you wait for the main attraction.

The Frightmare Compound 2025…8 out of 10

Our overall Experience: This was one of the best events of the year. From start to finish we were petrified with multiple actors and props creating moments of terror for us! The line was short with those VIP tickets purchased at Costco and when waiting in line it is always fun to read the posted materials while watching the actors creating spine-chilling moments as they meander through the crowds. After finishing the haunted house, don’t miss the amazing museum! We were fortunate enough to meet family member/owner and that was just an honor. Understanding a little more about the history of this incredible haunted house, started in 1983 has us hooked! We will be life long groupies!

Scare Factor (9): You know you are dreadfully afraid when you go to haunted houses every year and nothing really gets to you anymore, but then you walk into a haunted house like this one! Not on one occasion but on two occasions you look at your partner and say “don’t leave me”. We are not those type of reviewers who give too much away, we want you going in full of anticipation looking around every corner waiting for the next scare, the one thing we will say is no matter how prepared you are for this experience, they will get you and you will not leave the same as when you walked in those wooden doors…

Actor/Actor Costume (9): The actors were INCREDABLE!! They were able to connect with us emotionally causing a deeper level of fear, it was obvious they took their job serious. Each actor was placed in a way they were hidden well and then jumped out at you, walked with you to create a fluid fear factor and help move you along your haunted travel making you feel both uneasy but also leaving you begging for more!

Haunt Layout, Do the props work with theme, is theme cohesive (6): Though each area was themed incredible well, the themes did not connect well when leading from one section to the next making it a little confusing on why there was a big change in theme direction.

Special Effects and Props (8): The props are amazing, all the Coffins used in this haunted house are REAL, that is just creepy!! So many of the props pop out at you from corners and are so well hidden that play along side the actors in the perfect way to created one of the most hair-raising experiences you can imagine.

Entertainment and Value: What an amazing event and a great price, even better if you have a Costco membership because you can get super cheap VIP tickets for two people! Not only do they have an amazing haunted house that is top of the line, but they also have Museum at the end that holds “retired” artifacts from over the years. Often times, if you are so lucky you meet some of the family who own/run the haunted house, I can tell you first hand they are incredible people! I would say getting to know them a bit was one of the best parts of our adventure here.

Terror in the Corn 2025… 8.25 out of 10

Our overall Experience: Anderson Farm has always been one of our favorite places to go in the summer and fall. We normally get to the farm around 3pm so we can do everything! It gives us enough time to walk around and go through both mazes before Terror in The Corn at 7pm. We do recommended being at the gate at 7pm with VIP for Terror in The Corn if you want to have a spaced out walk through. Everyone is so kind and friendly at the farm if you normally don’t spend time doing other activities, we highly recommend you do everything next time!

Scare Factor (7): This year they had us spread out a lot better then in some years past, making the ominous feel of the field so effective! The actors were on it today jumping out at us and following us just enough to make us feel creeped out and uncomfortable. The only reason we dropped the score a bit here, was was due to length of time we were in the corn field. At some point we became numb to the scares and started chatting about our day.

Actor/Actor Costume (9): The costumes are always amazing and this year is was no different! Bella was incredible this season, she followed us throughout this haunted events, meeting us at different sense and popping out to scare us/me in particular. When she could go no further she says to me in a sinister way “I made you something” and giggled leaving me with a drawing. This was a new a crazy experience that started off a different kind of uncanny event, where other actors interacted with us asking to trade items for her drawing and popped out of corners, creating more scares then normal.

Haunt Layout, Do the props work with theme, is theme cohesive (8): This is an area Terror in the Corn excels, most scenes roll from one area to the next creating an overall amazing experiences.

Special Effects and Props (9): The interactive props were amazing, at points we were unsure if things were props or people making us even more afraid. The actors interacted with the props making everything flow together well.

Entertainment and Value: Anderson Farm is one of the best places to go if you want to spend hours emersed in fall activates! Nothing beats their fall fun, they go over and above, with tons of family actives, a pumpkin patch, two un-haunted mazes, a petting zoo, multiple food trucks, pumpkin launch, fire pits for rent (though they are high demand and need to be rented 2 months in advance), mini escape rooms, paintball and so much more. Admission to the farm comes with Terror in the corn tickets, you get so much bang for your buck!

The Ritual 2025… 7.25 out of 10

Our overall Experience: This was our second year going and might have to be our last at this venue (figure crossed they are able to keep the location at lease one more year). If you think ahead and bring a sacrifice, your soul will be haunted through the temple and ghoulish creepers will follow you home. We hope you find the courage to crawl through the dark and dingy halls of this bone-chilling event.

Scare Factor (7): After persuading us to give a sacrifice to the devilish evil demand the real scares began. There were horrors around every corners, even making us jump and scream multiple times.

Actor/Actor Costume (7): The actors did an incredible job hiding out of site creating a truly petrifying environment making us both feel on edge the entire time, just waiting for the next scare to happen. Their makeup and consumes were believable and it was obvious they loved what they were doing. Coming up with terrifying and believable comments as we walked through the bloodcurdling scenes.

Haunt Layout, Do the props work with theme, is theme cohesive (9): This might not be the longest haunted house we have ever been in, but it has some of the best sets! The swamp set is HANDS DOWN the BEST we have ever been in by far, actually making you feel like you are walking through water and as if you are looking into water.

Special Effects and Props (6): As stated above they have less props due to their size but the ones they have are amazing. We also noticed open spaces and the doors were relatively noticeable at times which took away from the moment/fear factor.

Entertainment and Value: We loved that this haunted house has the interactive start, where you can either choose to actually permanently leave behind a sacrifice (that can be anything). You can see an alter full of sacrifices left behind by others… this action then has small consequences that create big fears.

Hellscream 2025… 5.5 out of 10

Our overall Experience: In comparison to past years this year was a let down. There were no scare points partially due to line management. Even though there were so few people in line the staff pushed us in together making it so the monsters connected with some groups and completely ignored others. We walked through the event hardly being interacted with. We were really disappointed because in past years this was one of our favorite places to hit. Figures crossed next year will be better!

Scare Factor (5): A 5 feels generous, and most of that rating comes from the effort we saw directed at a group several parties ahead of us. Our group made it through without being startled, addressed, or scared because many actors had left their assigned spots to focus on other groups. Some actors even passed by us on their way back into position without trying to scare us.

Actor/Actor Costume (4) The props were well done and the actors makeup has always been realistic. The lack of effort put in to create a scary environment for those walking through consistently (discussed by multiple people walking through the haunted house) affected this score.

Haunt Layout, Do the props work with theme, is theme cohesive (6): Though the props are scary and the rooms creepy, often one room does not lead well into another making the them confusing at times.

Special Effects and Props (6): The special effects overall are pretty well done though some could be better this year as the actors did not interact with them the same way they have in the past.

Entertainment and Value: If the actors perform well as in past years and you purchase the package deals the entertainment and value is fair, though this years we left wanting more and feeling disappointment.

Night of Terror 2025… 6.75 out of 10

Our overall Experience: Even though this haunted house is still growing, it has big entertainment and fright factor. If you purchase early bird tickets, the haunted house is far less expensive then the average haunted house and you can still select any date/time in the season to attend, making it convenient to your schedule. In addition to the haunted house itself there is a fearful wheel of death game at the start of the haunted house, you might even take home a frightful prize…. including your life! Plus a fun 360 video everyone loves!

Scare Factor (6): This haunted house created a good mix of confusion, terror, and monster jumps to keep you unsettled and horrified as you worked your way through to freedom.

Actor/Actor Costume (8): Actors did an amazing job drawing you into the scene, creating fear and terror, and jumping out when you did not expect. Making this haunted houses a great experience overall.

Haunt Layout, Do the props work with theme, is theme cohesive (8): The theme was coheisive and worked well as you moved through room to room.

Special Effects and Props (5): Simple props like fog and effective lighting created an ideal atmosphere scaring us as we moved through the attraction.

Entertainment and Value: As a family-owned haunted house, in only its second year, it shows a lot of promise and could become something truly impressive as it grows. If you purchase the tickets early it keeps the cost lower then other haunted houses making the this experiences around $25.
