Saw the Musical The Unauthorized Parody of Saw

Denver, CO

Haunt on Wheels Review of Opening Night 9/11/26

Cast: Danny Durr, Indigo Jones, and Julia Ragalie

Unique, Funny, and Fresh take… Just a few words to describe this evening’s entertainment. We went in unsure about what to expect, because we are HUGE Saw fans and had low expectations if we are to be honest. As soon as the “curtains were drawn” and Julia Ragalie began to sing about her “killing” games, we were hooked.

This 3-person cast was amazing, bringing new life to an already loved classic horror film. Danny Durr played a wonderful, strange and self-absorbed doctor. His performance was both interactive and captivating and when he played out an over-the-top sexual romance with a blow-up doll we thought we might fall out of our chairs in hysterical laughter. Indigo Jones’ delightfully nieve youthful performance drew us in along with his sarcastic body language and witty remarks make the play over the top. Danny and Indigo’s chemistry and ability to play off each other creating intense sexual tension that was made even more hilarious due to the layers of filth between them. Julia ability to change between characters seamlessly throughout the musical was mind blowing, first being an evil mastermind planning seductive games made to destroy people emotionally and physically then becoming a strong woman overcoming evil in the next scenes. Overall, if you interested in an evening of laughter, considering the importance of women empowerment, and desire to watch a strange love story in a disturbingly unsanitary bathroom unfold in front of your eyes… this is the perfect play for you!! No matter if you attend this play or choose to come to other events we review, as always, Come Haunt with US!!!
