Summerween 2026 Review
Summerween 2026: 3.9 Stars out of 5 Stars
Theme Activities (do the activities meet the theme of event and are the activities interactive and creative): 4 Stars, the event is small and still is growing. It had a small costume contest with a few participants, there was a movie that played during the event and multiple vendors, many were themed to the event and others seemed out of place such as soap and pretty candles.
Friendly inviting staff/volunteers: 5 Stars, vendors were easy to talk to and even told us where the movie was going to be played. When we asked to speak to the organizer of the event, multiple people called Jared to make sure we spoke with him before leaving. Jared went out of his way to talk about this event and other upcoming events he would be organizing in the future.
Organization and flow of the event (does the event feel well planned and easy to follow): 2.5 stars: Though people were very friendly and told us there was a movie about to play we never saw where the movie was going to play. Also, as visitors coming from outside of Pueblo, we did not know where the event was being held at the Mall and drove around the Mall looking for an outdoor event, we saw the two-food truck and decided to look inside before leaving. It might have been helpful to mention the event was inside the mall when advertising as many people think “outside” when reading about food trucks”.
Spooky overall experience: 4 stars, I think this event was meant to be less spooky and more family friendly and they nailed that feeling which is why they earned a 4 out of 5 stars. That being said there were some vendors at this event that created some really scary stuff creating some super good scares!
For a small event this was a fun way to celebrate the halfway mark to Halloween. We met many people who love Halloween, were really creative and most importantly, had a scary sense of humor! There were plenty of spooky vendors to keep us shopping for at least 2 hours, all very friendly and welcoming, even offering help in supporting our own creative outlets! We highly recommend you attend this event next year, not only for the wonderful vendors, costume contest and fun side activities but to help Jared Perea support his community efforts!
Jared, the founder of this event which is also a fundraiser for his haunted house “Funhouse”. Funhouse will be having its 3rd year this Fall in October. He does both Summerween and Funhouse because he loves Halloween, horror and his community, in our book that makes him a pretty amazing person! Anyone willing to haunt our lives and his community at his own expense deserves a Ghostly Scream! We will be in line in October to meet his Terror first hand. Until next time…. Continue to haunt with us!
